We don’t focus on one activity but amalgamate a variety of experiences. A Slow adventure brings together people who enjoy sharing their sense of place with visitors by sharing traditional skills, local knowledge, storytelling and spending time together in nature.

Our slow adventures have been crafted to offer unique, authentic experiences by working with carefully selected people and businesses. Below is a summary of a slow adventuring cruise with Minch Adventures.   Keeping inshore around the environs and seascapes of the Knoydart/Glenelg Peninsulas for a slow adventuring cruise is an ideal way to explore and engage with wild open and natural places. This trip will entail a journey through breath-taking landscapes at a slower immersive pace. Creating memories through meaningful experiences, such as hauling lobster pots and investigating the sea life, learning to line fish while keeping an open eye for marine mammals. There is the possibility of a chance to visit a charming remote rustic café (The Road Ends Café) on the Knoydart peninsula which is described by previous guests as a magical place to relax. Or perhaps you would rather be cooking the catch over an open fire on a remote beach of significant historical interest. Our fresh sourced sea food catch can be cooked and eaten onboard also while tasting some of my favourite Malt whisky. This area played a big part in the Jacobite uprising which may be of interest or on the other hand listening to my sea-faring stories and tales of growing up here in this wild place will give you an insight of life in the highlands.  Our Vessel is custom built for delivering exclusive, vivid and personal experiences of the west coast of Scotland.

Customer Reviews Grand adventure with a personal touch Even the unpredictable weather couldn't stop us having the time of our lives with Billy from Minch Adventures. His stories, recommendations and connection with the local community and history made our trip unforgettable. Knoydart and the surrounding area truly is truly breath-taking in and on its own but having a passionate and knowledgeable local with a sense of adventure made the trip even more exceptional. I won't soon forget learning how to fish with a ball of string, seeing whales next to us or exploring the remote isle of rum and coming back with foraged mushrooms which we cooked with freshly caught langoustines and scallops. There are so many pre-packaged itineraries and holidays nowadays, but Billy went out of his way to create a more personal experience that you just don't find in many places anymore. It's definitely special and not to be missed if you're in the area.

Review: Charter exceeded all our expectations and incredible adventure! Four of us (two couples) from Bermuda chartered Minch Adventures through our hotel and from the outset we were very delighted. We saw wildlife, caught fish and had lunch at the most incredible 'restaurant that could have been at the end of the universe'. Would recommend this to anyone who likes boats and the water. Bill taught us a lot of the history of the area and we really enjoyed his company.
