'Driftwood' is a stunning contemporary designed house situated in the romantic and beautiful West Highlands of Scotland. The house is built over 2 levels and can sleep 8. There are 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom and 1 bunk bedroom. There is an open plan kitchen/dining /family room as well as a spacious living room complete with modern stove.

The house was architecturally designed to suit the unique position of the site as well as the aspects from it. By its open plan style, clever use of wood, glass and balustrading, the house is both modern and spacious.There is gas under floor heating throughout controlled by individual room thermostats. Beautiful oak flooring in the bedrooms and slate in the open plan kitchen and dining room as well as the upstairs lounge provide a stunning contemporary finish to the house. Outside, the house has a large slate patio area on the lower floor, perfect for barbecues and socialising. The upper level has another large slated area, perfect for contemplation and relaxation. Sun loungers and deck chairs are provided. Both areas are accessed through sliding or bi-folding glass doors from the house. The house is fitted with state of the art Smart Home technology which provides high speed Broadband multimedia services as well as WI-FI to each room. Sky HD TV, Sky+ as well as all Digital and terrestrial TV channels are available. There is HDMI connectivity to both large Flat Screen TV's as well as a Blu-Ray disc player in the main lounge area. Playstations and X-Boxes can connect on-line if required. The 'SONOS' Music System is also available to each room using intelligent wall controllers and a 'hand held' mobile controller. SONOS provides access to internet music servers such as 'Napster', 'Last FM Tag Radio' and all licensed radio sources. There is an I-Pod Wall Dock source should you wish to bring your own music. The system offers an exceptional acoustic experience where ceiling and floor speakers provide superior clarity of sound in each room. The technology is there if required and should you just dreamily watch the yachts sail by, catch up on some business on your laptop, relax as the sun sets or simply star gaze you know the option of your favourite music is there to enhance the experience. The other benefit of course is that should you be unlucky to encounter prolonged spells of bad weather the children can be kept occupied inside getting their fix of technology without going stir crazy. There are boot and wellington racks outside the entrance door to the property and these should be used at all times for outdoor footwear especially on return from the beach. There is a hose nearby to assist in cleaning these down beforehand. 'Driftwood' is located just off the B8008, the old coast road between Arisaig and Mallaig, approximately 1 mile south of the village of Morar and its beautiful white sands. The house has its own driveway off the B8008 just 100 metres up the hill from the main car park for the famous Camusdarach Beach. There is a large parking area outside the property. The house occupies an elevated position and enjoys panoramic south westerly views of the famous 'Camusdarach Beach' with the islands of Rum, Eigg & Muck glistening like jewels in the Sea of the Hebrides beyond. By day the 360 degree views from the house and garden are truly magnificent, as evening falls the sunsets are memorable and as darkness takes over on a clear night, the sky reveals galaxies of stars in their full glory.
