at Traigh - the Gaelic word for beach. Across the single
track road from Traigh holiday cottages are a series of
white sandy beaches complete with a wonderful collection
of dunes - ideal for sunbathing, exploring, walking or
beachcombing. Out on the horizon lie the islands of Eigg,
Rum and Skye. You'll also find boat trips, fishing, walking, pony trekking, cycling and a whole host of exciting water activities. You can visit the Heritage Centre at Mallaig. There's a range of craft shops, restaurants and coffee shops nearby too. |
