Arisaig

Arisaig is a small coastal village situated 35 miles west of Fort William on the A830 Road to the Isles, and 8 miles south of Mallaig. The West Highland Railway Line passes through Arisaig, and the house is about half a mile from the village station - journeys by steam train are still possible here! There is a Cal-Mac ferry service from Mallaig to Skye and the Small Isles, and there is also a local boat service from Arisaig to the Small Isles daily in summer.

This is an area of outstanding natural beauty, rugged and unspoilt, which offers many opportunities for walking, climbing, sailing, canoeing, wind-surfing and bird-watching. Along the rocky coast there are also superb sandy beaches which offer safe swimming for children, and there is a scenic 9 hole golf course nearby. Fishing is also popular here by sea, loch or river.
