Welcome to the family run Backpackers' lodge. Situated in the centre of
Mallaig, it offers a homely base from which you can explore the Inner Hebrides,
the remote peninsula of Knoydart and the famous white sands of Morar.
Mallaig is a working, fishing village where you can watch the catch being landed
or the seals playing in the harbour waiting for the boats to arrive. Whale
watching and fishing trips are available from the harbour. The hostel
provides comfortable, excellent budget accommodation, fully equipped kitchen,
common room and central heating. On site is the Tea Garden Cafe open from
9 am till 6 pm, serving quality meals, snacks, speciality coffees and home

The Tea Garden & Garden Restaurant
While visiting Mallaig be sure to visit the Tea Garden, situated in the
centre of the village, overlooking the harbour. Sit outside in the flower
garden, under our heated veranda or by the coal fire in our charming tea room.
Our all-day food is available from 9 am. |
