Sheena's Backpackers Lodge in Mallaig

Welcome to the family run Backpackers' lodge.  Situated in the centre of Mallaig, it offers a homely base from which you can explore the Inner Hebrides, the remote peninsula of Knoydart and the famous white sands of Morar.  Mallaig is a working, fishing village where you can watch the catch being landed or the seals playing in the harbour waiting for the boats to arrive.  Whale watching and fishing trips are available from the harbour.  The hostel provides comfortable, excellent budget accommodation, fully equipped kitchen, common room and central heating.  On site is the Tea Garden Cafe open from 9 am till 6 pm, serving quality meals, snacks, speciality coffees and home baking.

Accommodation: £13.50 per person per night

While visiting Mallaig be sure to visit the Tea Garden, situated in the centre of the village, overlooking the harbour.  Sit outside in the flower garden, under our heated veranda or by the coal fire in our charming tea room.  Our all-day food is available from 9 am.
Sample our wide selection of genuine home-cooking, including Mallaig prawn rolls, homemade soups, fish & chips and our famous cream scones plus many other delights.
From 6 pm until 9 pm we change to the Garden Restaurant menu offering quality bistro style food including local meats, seafood and farm vegetables.  The Garden Restaurant offers both inside and outside seating, the outside being protected by a midge-eating machine.  We are fully licensed and offer a fine selection of wines and beers.
