The Pier House Restaurant with rooms
Knoydart
|
The Pier House is famous for its fantastic seafood served in our loch-front licensed restaurant. In addition, we have 4 letting rooms above the restaurant - with views of the loch and the mountains. The Pier House is full of books; there are maps, games and even a piano for entertainment. We are a popular spot for birthdays, honeymoons, anniversaries and 'escapes' from the real world. |

The main reason people keep coming back to the Pier House is for the food. We were listed by the Taste of Scotland in 2001 and 2002 and have been featured in many independent reviews. |

As fits our location, our restaurant menu is dominated by seafood! Our famous seafood platters - lobster, crab, langoustines, mussels, scallops …. are all from local waters - often even from Loch Nevis itself. We pride ourselves on serving meat which is local, preferably wild or organic and definitely not imported or reared intensively. The hills of Knoydart provide us with some of the tastiest natural lamb you could ever try. |

In 2002 and 2003 we were proud to be accepted as members of the Vegetarian Society Food and Drink Guild as a measure of our commitment to vegetarian cooking. We make our own bread, ice cream and delicious puddings. The recipe for Gwen's chocolate, cherry and guinness hot pudding is a closely guarded secret. All this accompanied by fine wine, speciality beers… and … no need to drive home! |
