Caimbebridge House (Sleeps 6 + 2)
Caimbebridge House at Arisaig is a single story dwelling house built in the 1970's by a local artist situated in its own 1/2 acre private garden overlooking the tidal estuary of the River Caimbe. It is within easy walking distance to Caimbe beach, without crossing a public road (100m) and the Cnoc na Faire Hotel and Pub is nearby (500m). The house has ample private parking, large mature garden and a paved area with picnic tables an Barbecue pit. Well behaved dogs are welcome. The house is designed to take 6 adults and 2 children in three bedrooms (one with bunk beds) and a bed settee in the living room, maximum 8 people. There are two bathrooms (one with bath and one with shower). All bedrooms furnished to a high standard in country style. There is a farmhouse kitchen and range style cooker. There is a a large living room with an open fireplace. Wood and peat fuel is stocked on site and available at cost. Additional special features of this house are the large south facing sun room with cane furniture and a smaller sun porch on the front west side of the house. Caimbebridge Studio (Sleeps 4 + 2)
The studio has ample private parking, large mature garden and a paved area with picnic table. Well behaved dogs are welcome. The studio is designed to take 4 adults and 2 children. The bedroom has a double bed, with bunkbeds and there is a bed settee in the living room [maximum 6 people]. |

There is a shower room and separate W/C. The studio is furnished to a high standard in country style, with an open plan kitchen, dinette and living-room. The rooms all benefit from oil fired central heating and there are no hidden extra costs for electricity or gas. Prices (Studio)

The Studio and House have the use of a separate utility room with washer and drier as well as facilities for hanging up wet clothes.
There is a covered car port which is shared by the two properties for storing bikes and sports equipment or for having barbeques when the weather is not so good.
The houses have Internet Access by Wireless Broadband and LAN Cable and there are pictures, paintings and drawings throughout by the late artist Mr James Porteous-Wood who built the houses.
We also have some of his prints for sale as mementoes so please ask us during your stay.If you want to take your horse or pony with you on a riding holiday please e-mail Joyce and she will let you know about availability. We can also advise on rides and routes including lovely beach rides without ever going on the main road. Stabling is usually available on the croft in 12 X 12ft stables.
Location
Arisaig (pop c.500) is located on the Road to the Isles and has the most westerly train station in Scotland. It is also a candidate area for the the new Marine National Park and is an area of outstanding natural beauty.Arisaig is an ideal touring base for the Highlands and Islands with many activities available locally: ski-ing, fishing, diving, climbing, walking, bird watching, watersports, shooting, or just good old fashioned relaxing. There are ferry connections from nearby Mallaig and Arisaig to the Small Isles and Skye. The holiday cottages are situated on a traditional working croft.
