Ach Na Caorunn is situated near the peaceful west coast village of Arisaig, deep in the heart of Bonnie Prince Charlie country. You will find this an ideal base from which to explore the Western Highlands and Islands, from beautiful beaches, mountain lochs and hidden glens to the deep mysterious waters of Loch Morar. Here you will find all the tranquillity, scenic beauty, bountiful wildlife and romantic history for which this part of Scotland is famous. |

Nearby Mallaig is a hub for the west coast fishing industry, the jumping off point for ferries to Skye and the Inner Hebridean islands. The West Highland Railway has it’s remotest terminus here below the hills of North Morar and the sounds of steam hauled passenger trains still echo across the harbour and into the empty hills. For those of you who just want to get away from it all, there is no better place to call home for a few days. Morar is the gateway for Knoydart, known as the Last Wilderness; a roadless, and almost unpopulated tract of land stretching north from the wilds of Morar to the distant and remote Loch Hourn. Lovers of wildlife will revel in the region’s diversity, seals ply the lochs, eagles rule the high crags and deer roam the glens. Discover for yourself the many secret retreats in this varied and beautiful country. |
Fishing, boating, pony trekking and golf are popular pastimes available nearby, but however you fill your day, you can be assured that a friendly and warm welcome awaits you at Ach na Caorunn.
