Weddings on the Beach

Have you ever dreamed of getting married on a beach or in Scotland?
Then have your wedding on this beautiful sandy beach at Camusdarach in the Scottish Highlands

Since February 2005, the beach has had a permanent licence for Civil Weddings.
You can be married on the beach where Gollie took his new lady-love in 'Monarch of the Glen' and right beside where Ben (Fulton Mackay) lived in his upturned boat among the rocks in the film 'Local Hero'.

The location has magnificent sunsets and views over to the Small Isles. It is situated near Morar and Arisaig on the scenic Road to the Isles.

We supply a Marquee decorated with flowers from the garden as far as possible, in your choice of colours. The Marquee is sited in front of the house, across from the beach access. There is parking for cars here in the field

Gather in the Marquee, then walk down through the dunes to the private area of the beach where the Registrar awaits you beside a table decorated with more of your chosen flowers.

After the ceremony you can relax on the beach and enjoy a celebratory toast or return to the Marquee for drinks and nibbles, or a barbecue or meal. (We do not supply food or drink but we can put you in touch with those who can, and we can supply tables, chairs, glasses and barbecue.)
