The Arisaig Highland Games will take place on Wednesday 28th July 2010, at Traigh Farm, some 3 miles west of Arisaig village. The event begins at 10:30am with a ceremonial parade through the village led by the Lochaber Schools Pipe Band. The focus then switches to Traigh, with the Games officially opened by the Chief of Clanranald. The Games feature a full list of traditional events including solo piping, throwing the hammer, tossing the caber, highland dancing, and a range of track and field events including children’s races. Around the arena there will be a variety of side shows, exhibition tents, trade stalls and refreshment stands. The field gates open at at 10 am, with the Games commencing at 12 noon. Entrance fees are: £6.00. Children and concessions £3.00
To round it all off, come and dance the night away in the Astley Hall where the Games dance will commence at 10 p.m. Fàilte
